Be at Rowallan Park by 2pm to register as a volunteer or rider in round three of the Cross Country series. You do not need to have participated in rounds one and two previously – just come and have fun at this one.

If you are brining kids to participate in the Dirt Masters (under 12 years) their race will start at 2.30pm

For those over 15, racing will start at 3.30pm. You will need your bike, helmet and some water. The race only goes for one hour.
You will need to pre-register if you intend to race

If you really can’t be convinced to race the club would love some help volunteering on course or there is a great viewing area where you can watch the riders.

There are flush toilets and hot showers available at Rowallan Park.
Camping is on unpowered sites. It will be a cool night in the valley so make sure you bring out all the winter-camping gear.

We will be cooking on a communal BBQ at the Mad Club Humpy and there will also be a fire pit to keep warm. Some food will be provided but you are also encouraged to bring something to contribute.

To camp overnight there will be a charge of $6 per person – this money goes directly to the Scouts who own the land.

7.30am up early and ready for some skills out on the trail. MTBA Accredited Coach and current National MTB Series winner Peter Lister will be guiding a BEGINNERS COURSE in riding Single Track.
Peter will be covering some basics to help you enjoy riding single track focusing on cornering and how to get ready for what’s coming. He will happily instruct you on any element you request, he can show you jumps, bumps, bridges, A lines, B lines, rock gardens, berms and everything in between. He can show you how to ride them and how to avoid them. The purpose of this is to extend your riding experience and capability but we will never put you in an uncomfortable position.

If you are a WMTBC or Mad MTBC member this skills session will only cost you $10 which is being donated back to the Mad MTBC’s Trail Care Fund in appreciation for the hard work they do to maintain such a wonderful resource.
If you are NOT a member it will be $20 which includes your day licence.

Throughout the rest of the morning there will be guided rides of Rowallan Park so you can return to your favourite area and practice getting something right or just keep on riding lap after lap – you’ll be hooked!
